Strategic Development & Growth Lead
Part-time 12 Hours a week (0.32 FTE or agreed equivalent), three-year fixed term
Salary: £46,000-£48,750 FTE (pro rata), depending on experience

Autistic Parents UK (APUK) is seeking a part-time Strategic Development & Growth Lead to help scale our national reach and secure long-term sustainability. Working remotely and reporting to the Board, you will lead our funding strategy, partnership development, and organizational growth while ensuring we remain firmly rooted in neuro-affirming, autistic-led principles. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced professional to shape the future of a small but growing charity.

Become a Volunteer
Autistic Parents UK is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our incredible team. We are a fully user-led registered charity, offering peer support, webinars, training, signposting and resources on lived Autistic parenthood.

We welcome anyone who would like to offer their time alongside us in our aim to support people at whatever stage they are at with their understanding of Autism and being Autistic. We strive to treat all people with understanding, respect and compassion and are dedicated to being inclusive of ALL Autistic parents and of the needs of our volunteers and beneficiaries.
We want to proactively address all factors that cause barriers to entry for those involved in the running of APUK and those who access support. By joining Autistic Parents UK as a volunteer, you will be part of a compassionate and diverse community that strives to empower Autistic families.
We greatly appreciate any time and commitment you can make and are committed to fully supporting the needs of our volunteers. These are the areas we are looking to recruit volunteers for. If a role interests you please fill in our form above. All volunteer roles will have full in house training and ongoing support from our team.

Group Session Supporter
Provide support in online discussion groups for Autistic parents, participating in discussions and supporting with administration of the groups. We aim to match you with groups that are of interest to you

Discord Moderator
Participate in large remote groups on discord, ensuring community engagement is managed appropriately to support Autistic parents.
Some experience of Discord desirable but full training will be given.

Social Media/Content Creation
Create and post content on our social media channels to increase understanding and engagement. Can include designing graphics or content for graphics for use on our social media, websites and other materials. Create and/or collaborate on blog articles and monthly newsletters.

Fundraising
Raise funds through grant applications and other fundraising activities and events to support the charity's mission. Help plan and co-ordinate other awareness events and / or represent APUK at outside events.

Admin Support
General admin as required. Help manage the APUK inboxes, signpost people to support. Help update the website, proofread documents and other tasks as required.

Live Event Support
Help plan Q&As and secure speakers, provide background tech support using Zoom/ restream to monitor. Transcribe audio and video content to make it more accessible.
