About the Event
When people talk about ‘financial wellbeing’, they mean how much you feel in control over day-to-day finances and how much freedom you have to make choices to enjoy life. Researchers have found that people’s financial wellbeing impacts their quality of life. But we know virtually nothing about the financial wellbeing of Autistic people. That is why we conducted the world’s first research study to help us understand the financial wellbeing of Autistic adults in Australia.
Professor Liz Pellicano is committed to transforming autism science so that it more accurately reflects everyday autistic life. She is Professor of Autism Research at University College London (UCL), having recently been Professor at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. Previously, she was Director of the Centre for Research in Autism and Education (CRAE) at UCL Institute of Education.
