Autistic Parents UK is a user-led non-profit association founded by a group of Autistic parents who all experienced a gap in support and understanding for Autistic people during parenthood.

We are in the early stages of establishing this organisation and we are trialing a number of different methods of supporting and facilitating mutual peer support connections. We are building our resources for Autistic parents, professionals and supporters.

We will work reflectively and flexibly with our members to move towards being inclusive of the needs of all individuals in the community we build together.

Events & Resources

We are planning a number of free to access events including: webinars, Q&As and online group discussions planned for this year, more details to follow.

We are also building free resources for Autistic parents and  professionals and supporters of Autistic Parents.

Peer Support

We are building up a number of opportunities to access mutual peer support.

We have a Facebook peer support group and several small peer support groups with 4-8 people.

Read more about our plans for APUK peer support here.

Local Groups

We have plans to have local meets when this becomes possible again.

If you would like to have a group in your local area, please contact us.

We are happy to have local online groups too if that is something you are interested in, again please contact us for a chat.

Literature Reviews

We will have summaries and reviews on books and literature relevant to Autistic parenthood available to read on our website.

We will also be having regular book giveaways and a book exchange between members to increase accessibility to literature relevant to Autistic parents, supporters and allies.

Everyone involved with APUK volunteer their time and Autistic parents themselves. If you would like to join our team please get in touch, there are no obligations, minimum requirements and there is no role too small. Learn more about us and our team here.
